NOTICE OF CORRECTED 2020 ELECTION

E rārangi mai nei ko ngā kerēme a Rangitāne, e whakaatu ana i ngā hara i pā mai ki a tāua me ngā mamae hoki.
Kei konei hoki ngā kōrero tautoko a ō mātau roia e whakamārama haere ana i ngā kerēme nei, ngā whakahokinga kōrero a te Karauna, me te whakawhāititanga mai o ngā take matua i kitea e Te Rōpū Whakamana i te Tiriti o Waitangi. Kei konei ā tāua kōrero tuku iho, whakapapa hoki me ngā kōrero a ngā kaumātua mō ō rātau ohinga me ā rātau mahinga nui. He taonga ēnei kōrero ka tukuna ki ngā whakatipuranga. E hika mā, hapaitia, puritia, tukuna hei mana motuhake mō tāua. Rangitāne, tū mai rā. Tū mai rā, Rangitāne.
Tihei Rangitāne!
To our koroua and kuia, we greet you and wish you sound rest in the afterworld. We are your grandchildren, and we remember and celebrate your legacy. We have set forth our kōrero, our whakapapa, and maps and photographs that reflect our Rangitānetanga, as it relates to our claims against the Crown. We have published this information here so that your descendants can learn and transmit our Rangitānetanga for generations to come. We have set out our claims against the Crown, as an expression of the injustices and pain that we experienced.
We have presented the supporting information prepared by our lawyers to explain our claims, the responses made by the Crown, and the deliberations of the Waitangi Tribunal. We have also included our traditional kōrero and whakapapa, and the recollections of our kaumātua about the experiences of their youth. Following that, there is expert testimony about environmental issues, education, our marae and hapū, the suppression of our identity as Rangitāne and its re-emergence. Finally, there is information about the relationships of Rangitāne with our hapū, with our whenua and with our wāhi tapu. These are taonga which can be passed on to our descendants. To them, we commend these treasures, and we encourage them to embrace and uphold them as part of our mana motuhake. Rangitāne, tū mai rā. Tū mai rā, Rangitāne.
