Corrected 2020 Election
Due to errors in the proofing and printing process one candidate was not included in the voting documents, another candidate profile was omitted and there are now four vacancies not three due to a subsequent resignation of a Trustee (outside of the standard rotation of Trustees).
The election has been stopped and restarted with corrected voting documents. Any votes previously cast by post or online are now null and void.
Returning Officer Anthony Morton conveys his sincerest apologies to Rangitāne for the procedural errors. Anthony says, “We have taken the steps to rectify the situation by stopping the election process, correcting the errors, and restarting the election”.
There are nine candidates standing for the four places on the Trust.
All eligible registered voters have been sent new voting documents which read “CORRECTED 2020 ELECTION”.
Sonya Rimene, Acting Chair of Rangitāne Tū Mai Rā Trust says, “E kore a muri e hokia, heoi anō me titiro whakamuri kia kōkiri whakamua”.
